Useful Firefox extensions
Newsfox is a good, free plugin for Firefox that does an good job of handling your RSS feeds with the bonus that it integrates well with firefox’s live bookmarks, reads OPML files, and will let you view the web page by default rather than the plain text. NewsFox is free (Don’t confuse it with the awful Fox News TV channel) and you can download it in Firefox by browsing the firefox / mozilla site for the NewsFox extension and hit install!
Other useful firefox extensions:
- Fasterfox (optimizes page loading speed - switch on the prefetch stuff though),
- GooglePreview (look before you leap in Google/Yahoo),
- Remove it Permanently (gets rid of frames/pictures from websites permanently)
- OPML support (adds OPML support to firefox),
- Tab Mix Plus (excellent tab Manager).
Silly firefox extensions:
- Colourful tabs (different colours for your tabs!),
- Image to Text (download a picture as ascii art).
